I'm not sure how to proceed with guys coming back from my super embarrassing pick-me past. All of them I had a quasi-situationship with that made me feel abandoned, pathetic, as an option, yet I was telling myself it's "liberating" and tried my best to stay a cool girl. I didn't know what I wanted and they exploited that, some of them even led me on to believe we were actually friends. I don't want to do that anymore. I did block all of them but sometimes run into them at work/school/gym/city and they tell me I look better, thinner, I can feel that they are drawn to me but some part of me knows they don't want a relationship. How do I know that? I gave them too many chances before and it never worked out. I want to stay strong because I love the person I've become and hate how they've made me feel. This time they start approaching me differently, trying different ways to crawl back into my life and ask for my number. They tell me they have an emergency and they're stuck in the area, that their mom died, they need help, that they love where I work and would want to reconnect or they need a referral/advice or help with something that they know I'm good at, or ask to join the group meeting they will also attend. I know I can help, and some of them are really nice and bright individuals, but is it worth it? Do they deserve a (neutral) chance again? I don't know anything about them anymore and don't even know if they are still single, is it worth reconnecting because they've changed/ matured?
