There are nice places you could walk. A botanical garden, a zoo or aquarium, a museum or gallery, national parks.
If it is a walk through the park then he should plan a picnic. Get food, have an elaborate set up with blankets and a little speaker for music. You can do it socially distanced too just set your blankets 6 feet apart.
Either way, it's his job to figure out. Not yours. You don't need to be offering suggestions, the whole internet is available to him as a resource. If it's too much trouble for him to spend a few minutes googling and planning a real date then he's not that into you. There's no excuse for that, IMO. Don't settle.
When I'm going on a date with a man I always ask myself, "If he had the opportunity to date his celebrity crush/dream girl would he ask her to do this?" If the answer is, "No, he'd want to impress her and she definitely wouldn't accept this" then he is not the man for me.
Would he ask a supermodel on a walk through the park? Nah. A man's effort is a direct reflection of how he feels about you.

I like botanical garden or zoo or aquarium ideas, as long as he doesn’t try to take you on a free day, but think the national park is too cheap and casual.
Picnic also sounds too casual and very iffy, so I am not a fan of that idea at all. That said, I know there are luxury picnic planning services that look amazing in some cities, but not in mine, so I’ve only seen them on the gram.

Oh yes, I’m very outdoorsy, love to backpack, and love a man who can plan a camping trip. (As in I have a parks pass and my own gear already.)
And absolutely, I would not go on a long hike with a man you don’t know well or haven’t vetted because of the safety issues. This is a cute activity for an established couple, but not the dating phase IMO.
