How much time/how many messages should go back and forth before meeting someone from OLD in person? I have a few conversations going with guys from dating apps, but I'm at a point where I need to filter some of them out since it's too much to keep up the conversation with each one.

My strategy now is to hold off on hinting at wanting to go out on a date because I want to see who has the initiative to make it happen on their own.

I don't get why men seem to complain so much about lack of success with these apps. They don't even ask women out, it seems. It's so frustrating. I don't have time to endlessly message random men. Is it because it's Tinder (though I also use OkCupid)? Is it due to a lack of maturity? Are they all just LVM who want to do the bare minimum, have me pursue them, and use me? If they're truly interested in me, I wish men would just cut to the chase and ask me out.

Note: by "going out" I mean with masks and outdoors; I take covid seriously. I don't list that in my profiles, though.

Would it be bad to put in my profile, "If you're truly interested, just cut to the chase and ask me out?" I'd try to put it a little more playfully.
