Hi ladies!

I’ve been dating a guy for a few months and he’s said some things that really concern me.

Firstly, on a date yesterday he told me about a band who’s had a member accused of sexual assault. Apparently the girl he assaulted has been rightfully slandering him publicly and trying to get him convicted. I work closely in the music industry so I asked him to tell me who the accused man was so I can avoid him in my work also just in general as this information was very alarming to me as a woman.

He refused and tried to change the subject. He got very defensive and annoyed when I tried to get the name of the accused rapist so I just dropped it but it made me so suspicious. It’s like he’s protecting him almost? Even though he has been accused of rape and less than 10% of accusations are false.

Secondly, when I told him that an incel troll messaged me on Reddit saying I deserved to be drunkenly assaulted (because I posted about being coerced), he brushed it off and didn’t seem outraged.

I know I need to break it off with him but a combination of doubt and hormones is stopping me. I just need some outsider advice.
