You're still too focused on the "get a man" part of this equation. You deserve to be fulfilled and treated respectfully...just because. That's it. It's your birthright. FDS is about stepping into that power. The leveling up you need most right now has zero to do with dating and more with improving your own self worth and self esteem. Reading this depressed the hell out of me, honestly. Your father's affair is not a reflection of you, your mother, or anyone but himself.

Hey lovely. From an outside perspective, OF COURSE you are feeling hopeless about love right now. Thats major family news and I can’t imagine how that would mess with your self image if you loved and somewhat identified with your mother. It sucks balls. But you aren’t her and you can avoid that by vetting vetting vetting.

You bloody bet you deserve to be respected and loved the way you want. You sound like a very introspective, bright and capable woman. And its admirable that you had the courage to post such a vulnerable train of thought. That takes major labia ahaha. No matter how beautiful an Instagram model may be, she’s not you. Because there is nobody on this earth that can replace you. And people fall in love with those details and individual traits. You are full of love and you need to give it to yourself and then you will become the wonderful person you were always meant to be.

You don't need a man to complete you. You have yourself, and you are enough.

That being said, there are plenty of women out there just like you whose partners are faithful their entire lives, they exist.

Find someone who has the right values. A man who cheats will cheat on ANY woman, no matter what she looks like or how much money she has, because the problem is with him, not her.

The average IG model looks NOTHING like she does in real life. I can always spot an "IG model" in real life by the extreme contour and highlighting. It's magic, except it doesn't work so well when you don't have the lighting and filters in your favor. I felt the same way as you, until I saw a bunch of these girls in real life.
