I was in the same situation like you, i told her i don’t necessarily need that shit in my life, removed my attention and affection, and the following day.. there she was, compliant cutting off her ex she was friends with for 7 years.

But here’s the thing, when you do boundaries, you can’t have an expectation, or sweat for a specific outcome you want to have. Whatever happens doesn’t change how you act.

It worked for me, doesn’t mean it has to work for you.
