Hi MRPers, I am having trouble responding to the more extreme shit tests with anything other than silence; I am too angry to think of the appropriate response.

For example, I am planning a trip to visit my family in a few weeks, and my wife says "I don't want to have to drive you 2 hours so you can have a vacation." (we only have 1 car at the moment as I am self employed and work from home while she is at school. Also I will be working during this "vacation", hamster is getting a workout) she followed up with "I know it is selfish but that is just how I am" or something like that. Now if I were to respond now, I would say something like "I understand you don't want to, but we are a team and you will work with me" Instead I held my tongue and accelerated my plans to purchase a second car. For the normal shit tests I don't get angry at all, amused if anything, but when she does shit that makes me feel like a fucking dupe that married an unhelpful resource-sponge that relies on me to cook, do the day-to-day cleaning, create my own job to support the family, etc... I have trouble holding it together. I recognize there is some covert-contract behavior embedded in there, and I have been working on shifting responsibility onto her without letting the metaphorical "ship" go into disrepair. Any advice or a helpful kick in the ass would be appreciated.

More context on my situation:

Wife and I are both 24, married for 2 years.

I have professional degree in engineering, have supported us through graduate school.

Finances are tight; Medical school isn't cheap and I am not earning as much as I could employed for a company. I will own a significant percentage of any intellectual property I generate, but any returns from that are going to be at least a year down the road.

She is in her 3rd year of medical school, and uses homework/studying/tired as reasons for doing what she wants and not doing what she doesn't.

Found RP 3 months ago, read NMMNG, WISNIFG, and MMSLP; Am working on Sex god method and book of pook.

My SMV is as high/higher than hers; I am 6ft tall, 150lbs and my lifting is starting to result in some muscle mass. (I have a lot of trouble gaining weight). Starting to get comments from the wife when I am shirtless around the house.

I think my biggest problems are that I don't have a strong muscular body (i have endurance, but I have read about what women think of a runner's body) and I suck at defining a boundary and identifying what crosses a boundary.

For future reference, was I right to post this here rather than the main sub?
