Haven’t been on here for about a year. My LTR has actually gotten better and better by lightly applying the knowledge here.

There is nothing wrong at this time, the odd up and down but mostly smooth sailing.

Problem is my internal game. I have always suffered with low self esteem and insecurities in myself which naturally spill into relationships. I do my best to hide them.

An example is recently my LTR got a new job at a police headquarters (admin work) and I find myself insecure about it. I keep imagining her being around all these police guys and feel as though I don’t measure up.

While I recognise that many women in similar roles are married or in relationships I can’t think rationally about it. My habitual emotional insecurity trumps the logic.

I should also say she’s given me no signs or red flags up to this point. She’s gotten better and better and so have I.

I hold a respectable job, train mma, demonstrate value in my circles and generally lead well. It’s like my internal self belief hasn’t caught up to my accomplishments. Never good enough for anyone in my head. It’s silly to some I’m sure but a sad reality I live. How can I take steps to change this? Has anyone else suffered with irrational self doubt and insecurity too?
