My first reaction is to laugh and point and do the obligatory faggot name calling. However, I was in a similar spot a year ago. I did all the reading, I digested all the blog posts and Reddit comments, but my work outs fizzled out and I'd get lazy with leadership. By not going ALL IN I was in essence amplifying my misery rather than alleviating it and that only prolonged the anger phase.

What did it eventually for me was one day where shit at work was blowing up and after a long week of that I get home and had a pretty damn disrespectful event from my wife. At that moment I remember thinking "fuck her, I need to succeed and get what I want out of life with or without her." So I imagined a future without her, a damn successful future, and suddenly I stopped caring about her which meant I wasn't in her frame as often and this made it so easy to focus on myself. One week of killing it with diet and lifting became two, then three and suddenly progress was everywhere. More importantly I began to internalize this routine and new mindset and me not going to the gym at lunch would ruin my day.

At the end of the day your WHY for doing this has to be strong enough to endure the bullshit obstacles you will hit - and no one here can ever give that to you. You need to figure out your true WHY. Losing weight, getting laid, etc was not a strong enough WHY for me and those are the main reasons people end up here. Those who succeed here are able to truly seek a type of happiness that is defined by their own sets of values.

Change one thing at a time.

Start by picking a weight training program that requires you at the gym at least 3 days a week. Bring your little notebook or your app, log your shit, and observe how slow steps create progress.

Do that for a two or three months and you will probably be ready to apply this same outlook and discipline to other areas of your journey.

I know it is within you to do this.
