*All is good, update at bottom.

This should be very basic, it's another question about texting but it's slightly different and I'm not 100% certain how to proceed.

Girlfriend is away at parents, she's been away for a couple days and is home tonight. I won't go into it, but the last few weeks things have been bad between her and her parents, (because they are assholes, long story but all under control).

She text me today saying she knows words don't mean much, but she just wants to be with me and misses me so much etc. She doesn't want to spend time around her parent's and can't wait to get back to me.

It seems sincere and honestly, I'd say she's seeking comfort.

Only reason I write this, is I'm not sure how to respond. I don't really want to text her back. I'd rather wait until this evening and say whatever needs to be said in person, give her comfort in person, not over text.

On the contrary, I feel ignoring her text all day might be an unwise move.

Do I ignore? Acknowledge I've read the text, but don't speak much until I see her?

I imagine she's looking for comfort right now, but I've not read much about how to address that when you aren't together in person. You can't kiss her forehead over text, or hold her tight, etc. I could call her on a work break, but again, would rather do it face to face.

I guess what I'm really asking, how do I tide her over between now and when she gets home, without seeming like a dick who's just ignoring her? Because I don't want to come across as a dick when she's done nothing wrong.

Thanks.

*Update, called her, worked a treat, she's happy, I'm happy, all good. Thanks.
