This is a tit for tat thing the way you wrote it. As for "d" -> at the end of the day I think AWALT - regardless of how well you vet, this may come up because she's a woman and emotional. It's also such a standard movie and TV trope that shows the retarded husband sleeping on the stupid couch.

My wife pulled this once (replace couch with guest bedroom). "You're going to go sleep alone in the guest bedroom". So the "correct" approach as I see it was to plop down in our bed next to her and start reading a book. Then ask if she wants to fuck with a shit-eating grin on my face. She said nothing of interest/value/use so you don't even acknowledge it; you treat it like she said nothing at all. If you don't find amusement in her doing this, you're missing the nature of women (more TWOTSM for you).

At this point she gathered up her pillow and went to the guest bedroom, but I slept great. Acta non verba - it's your bed, you sleep there, your wife can sleep wherever she wants. I do set the expectation that a wife and husband sleep in the same bed. She still slept elsewhere many times, but it was always "I'm going to go sleep somewhere else". She got angry about something this week, went to sleep in the kids room, but still came back to our bedroom after an hour or so. Maintain the expectation. She'll rant and rave and scream in the short run but eventually she may start coming into your frame (she may not, it doesn't matter).
