Anyone has any experience with going deodorant/antiperspirant free?

Not recommended in my opinion. Unless you sit in a cool room naked all day and don't do any exercise. Which is nobody. Bad smelling men would automatically become creeps. I think that not over doing it on the deodorant front is fine.

I've never used any deodorant, since I don't really smell bad even when I'm sweating (Really, I've even asked people to smell me. I think it's because I sit in a sauna 5-6 times a week).

I think there's a lot of information in scent and taste that modern society doesn't value like it should, so I think going natural can send signals and you can expect a response from those signals. We seem to equate hygiene with lacing ourselves in artificial scents, and that's simply not true. You can be clean without drenching yourself in fragrance from detergent, shampoo, face wash, deodorant, toothpaste, cologne, body wash, etc.

My girlfriend seems to really enjoy my natural odor when I don't wear any deodorant, as well as when I skip the shower, and that's been very fun. I of course think I smell terrible but she likes it.

I switched to some aluminium free natural crystal whatever deo for a while... and I stank quite badly after I started sweating. I kept on using it for a few weeks to see what happens. Same thing every time. Eventually I stopped using it and I had to throw away my t-shirts too as the smell didn't go away from under the arms even after washing them.

Went deo free for a while, but I was sweating buckets, it was annoying, my armpits constantly wet. The smell was not really noticeable for a few hours, but I needed 2-3 t-shirts a day.

I went back to using deodorants. I may risk cancer, but at least I don't smell.

Never cared about the pheromones.

I have way too much odor to even consider neglecting the use of deodorant. There is absolutely no good reason to stop using deodorant.

I stopped using commercial deodorant years ago because of the chemicals. I could just feel the difference in my skin when using them. If I had to buy something I buy Tom's or some other natural type.

I usually go without anything because I naturally don't sweat much or have an odor unless I'm really pushing it. For when I do need something I use a homemade deodorant. You can Google homemade deodorant but the basic recipe is 1 cup coconut oil, 1 cup arrow root powder (you can use corn starch but it's rougher on the skin) and 5-6 drops of an essential oil (I use lavender). Just warm the coconut oil in a pot, mix in the arrow root powder, add essential oil then store in a glass container. If you live in a warm place you may need to refrigerate it. A little goes a long way.

If pheromones are a thing they can probably come from elsewhere other than your smelly armpits.

Use antiperspirant deodorant, skip the cologne if anything.

I did for years and years. Was NEVER told I smelled bad, even explicitly asked multiple times. Could never smell myself. This from about the age of 18 to 24. Was in all kinds of nasty, sweaty situations, days without showering while in the army, etc. Then something changed, I have no idea what. I just started smelling bad. Could smell my armpits by the end of the day. I started again.

try it. body odor is genetics, so only you know under what conditions you get stinky. there is natural deoderants without antiperspirant. i usually don't use any and jsut take a shower if i know i'll be close to people.

You're right OP, conventional deodorants are shit and bad for your health long term. Search for natural deodorant creams. They don't have crap like aluminium in them and work pretty well.
