I cheated once several years ago. It chewed away at me because I wasn't being genuine. She finally found out. I felt like an asshole but at least she was free of me and bullshit. I feel like it was a pussy move on my part. Ever since I've been brutally honest. It works well.

If you're not happy with your current partner, I think you should do yourself and her a favor let her go. You're already partially out the door.

I did cared for the girl so my guilt eat me from inside out. Totally regret it (in the moment), i remember feeling so dirty after it. Then it became the usual and no more guilt for myself. I guess the phrase "once a cheater always a cheater" that i loved to say was true.

I haven't in the past, but I'd say I do have some strong feelings about integrity. I haven't been put in that situation yet, but my gut says that owning your selfishness and letting a plate (or LTR) break is technically more RP than resorting to deception to keep a certain plate in rotation... but there are certainly points on either side. And in any case, the goal is not always to "RP max" but to use the awareness to maximize your enjoyment of life.

I have never cheated. But that is because I have only ever promised monogamy to one woman (marriage) and I'm never going to do that again.

Instead of cheating, just be honest when "the talk" comes up. Then you don't have to be untrue to yourself or live in a tangled web of lies.

This week 3 women said the same thing to me: since meeting you, I've realised I don't want a traditional kind of relationship where you move in together and promise exclusivity and I don't think that is the most natural way of being. In other words, "Can I be your plate with the possibility of a future upgrade to primary partner if I behave myself."

Why? Because they are following my lead and have seen from experience with me that you can have love and companionship without the bullshit and jealousy. My frame allowed them to see that a different kind of relationship is possible/preferable.

Many other women, of course, have buggered off at the slightest hint of non-exclusivity. And that too is a win, as that is not the kind of woman I am looking for; and I am not the kind of man they were looking for.

Cheating is a coping mechanism.

Usually, this is happening because you settle with a woman who isn’t super hot.

Or if your main girl is super hot, it just gets old.

Grow some balls and either break up, or do not get into an exclusive relationship to begin with.

We should all aspire to be confident telling a 10/10 that we are not interested in being exclusive and to keep things non-committal. Even if that means losing the dime and having to wait another 6 - 12 months for the next one.

It’s difficult but that is the price of freedom to fuck whoever you want, whenever you want, without sneaking around and lying.

The older I get, the less capacity I have for that bullshit.

When I was in college and BP. Never sought it out but when it fell in my lap I acted on it. My girl (at the time) found out and it blew up in myself. Went further into the BP hole trying to "get her back" while she was entertaining other dudes.

It took a LONG time to move on from that relationship, and you'd think the lesson would be to never cheat again. However...sadly I'm just less attached these days so I'm VERY self-interested and self-motivated (and sometimes that means the desire to have my cake and eat it, too).

Haven't cheated in my current LTR but I'll be honest in that it's hard. Especially when you have abundant options too.
