It's not 1950. You don't "ask a girl out" on some kind of formal date, where you sit across from the table at a restaurant and let her ask you interview questions while you stammer for answers to try to prove what a great guy you are, in the hopes of getting a second date, and maybe even going steady with her a few months down the road if you can work up the nerve to ask.

It's 2016. You tell her you're going to be at place X at time Y and that she should come. Then you go there and hang out anyway, whether or not she comes. When she gets there, you already have a drink in your hand, so that you have an excuse not to go buy her one. You're already talking to some girls you know or just met. She competes for your attention all night, and if she works hard and proves herself interesting, you let her "win", take her home, and fuck her, with the understanding that you're one of six other guys she's "seeing" right now, and she's one of six other girls you're non-exclusively fucking.

Eventually, she pushes for commitment, or you pussy out because you start caring too much about this one, non-special, non-unique piece of ass, and one of you drops the other and replaces that spot in the rotation with someone else.

You already lost. You entered her frame by doing this. Adding on social media before escalating will get you thrown into beta/orbiter status every time. She won't respect you, and view you as a weak coward who is too afraid to escalate.

As another commenter wrote you should just go for a "Hey want to grab a coffee?". It's really that simple. Especially in social circle game as long as you are being a little bit flirty the chick will know what's up. You already have, by being there, a baseline value and comfort. You can still, "save" this case. Just don't start liking every damn pic of the chick and posting comments on her facebook. If you ignore her for a week or so and you meet again, just talk for whatever as you did previously and at some point qualify her for whatever reason and then go for the coffee or X suggestion.

Just don't focus on her. It is bad for your mindset in general, and it will probably fuck your subcommunications. She's one of the many girls in your class. You don't need to fuck every girl in there to have pre-selection. If she sees you talking with other chicks, that's pre-selection enough.

Let's see..Facebook, you have her on it. So make sure your photos are of you doing alpha things with other girls. For example, have a picture of a well-heeled woman doing the tango with you, have another gorgeous woman coming out of a swimming pool with you, have a third gorgeous woman skydiving with you, a fourth surfing, and so on. She'll go through your photos and see when /u/WhalePolo uploaded n pictures, so make sure the pictures are good ones.

To ask her out, say something like "I'm doing x at y starting at t tonight, join me". If you've set things up right, she will follow.

Which is why I suggest avoiding the "not a nice guy" mindset. The issue isn't with sounding like a nice guy. It's about being to nice "Hi, I was wondering if you'd like to go out for drinks?" Is way to bp. Don't misunderstand, to get what you want you need a mix of rp and bp. I generally stick with the "I'm going out for drinks and I want you to come along"
