How to you find a middle ground between holding frame and compromising when your girlfriend makes a valid point.

Example - I've hooked up with some of my female friends in the past. It's not something I would ever consider doing again, it's just something that happened when I was younger and it is what is it. Not an issue, except for the fact that they are around fairly often, they do hit me up to invite me out to things with bigger groups.

My girlfriend obviously doesn't love this. It's harmless on my end, but if the roles were reversed it would be a deal breaker. She'd never set an ultimatum but I can tell it makes her uncomfortable.

Not asking about this particular situation, just in general, but how do you play it when you make it uncomfortable for them and would bother you in a role reversal?

Do you just do what you want and they either choose to stay/walk? Do you bring her around with you to ease her mind? Do you stop doing whatever it is because you wouldn't go for it on the other end?
