Stop thinking everything should give you instant gratification and get it in your head that actual accomplishments take hard work and dedication.

So buy an agenda (a good one with 1 day per page) plan when you’re doing what and look at how much free time you have. Then fill that free time up by going to the gym, joining a club, reading a book, learning chess/whatever instrument etc. etc.

Also stop thinking “eh, I can work on XYZ later”, because if you don’t do it when you planned, you won’t do it ever.

Societies pressure to preform. You see examples everywhere of successful men and women and your minds subconsciously seeing where you stack up. You see all this, and then where you are at, it can be depressing if you are not doing a lot and progressing in some meaningful direction.

I used to have a similar feeling, I felt like I was wasting my time in college and wanted more experiences in my life. You need to find out what your goals are and pursue them.

I have the same feeling. A constant disease discomfort in the background of my head when just chilling ans being unproductive. It goes away, when doing stuff thats fulfilling.

This shit happens to me all the time dude. I’m a major procrastinator. I have pretty solid goals and habits to meet, but I delay taking action as much as possible.

Meditate for a few minutes on why you do it, and apply 3 second rule. As soon as you have to do something, just go finish the task right away.

Western civilization has conditioned us to think this way.

Me personally, I know a lot of people who put to much on their plate, and often suffer psychologically because of it.

I think the best thing is find out what YOU like to do, then do it! Join an adult co-ed (or just male) sports league, go for walks in nature.

The truth is, you don't have to do anything.

I get this feeling too. Like I should always be doing something constructive. It’s like your mind is constantly running 100mph. It sucks, but perhaps it is better than being content. You know there is something but out there for you but you just haven’t quite found it yet. I feel that way and I’m nearly 25.

That's a kind of social anxiety. When I used to look around and see people , really smart people always doing something. I would feel worthless . because I was trying to be perfect. But after reading NMMrNG and HTWFrAIP I realised I don't have to be perfect. You don't have to perfect all the time perfection is in a moment. You can only expect to be perfect for for a moment.
