How do you guys bounce back when you're stuck in a depression? I don't mean a really dark, deep depression, more like a temporary slump which you can't seem to get out of.
Over the last year I've developed significantly, attending the gym consistently, great gains, getting very fit, good new job, some success with girls.
3 months ago I hit a wall. An injury took me out of the gym, that was the first blow to my confidence. And then I became ill, it lasted for over 8 weeks. Between being ill and unable to lift or run, I became depressed and my unhappiness got into my work. I was visibly down and shit at my job.
Finally, I'm not ill, and the injury is almost healed. But I feel this depression luring over me, and I can't shake it. Before things went wrong I had momentum, I felt unstoppable. I need that feeling back but I'm struggling to get going, I feel like I have to start from scratch again and that thought alone frustrates me.
Can someone give me a kick to get back on track? How to kick start that routine I established and start rebuilding myself? Thanks.
