Obligatory intro: Been lurking for a while. Ended up here because of an ex. Making steady progress.

On to the scenario: Was at a house party and the night was winding down. As I was chatting up an HB9, two other guys approached. One guy's first comment was something along the lines of "you're kinda cute for a short girl" and the other guy followed up by stating "you're kinda cute for a tall girl" as he squatted to make her taller. I smiled and just walked away.

I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do. I've done this before when I'm out at a bar (mainly when friends come to game the girl I'm gaming). I don't compete for girls because I"ll just go find another.

I understand in this situation that she was one of last girls there so it might have been better to put my hand on her back and whisper in her ear something like "isn't it cute how hard they try?" and then walk away.

I see it as abundance mentality; but, I can see how a woman or another guy can perceive it as passive and beta where I just let another guy take the girl I'm gaming. Keep in mind, this is all with women I meet night of.

So my question: Is walking away the appropriate response to another guy approaching the girl you're gaming?
