Difference between a narcissist and an Alpha?

Well, alphas don't exist, its a confused person's short-hand for a self-realized man.

Narcissists do exist. There are lots of interesting examples of them.

Main difference between self-realization and narcissism would be... hmm. whats the easiest to spot indicator?

Narcissists are constantly bitching out other people who are their supposed "enemies", whereas a self-realized person won't have a lot of enemies and will move away from them. Narcissists are always at war with other people. So that's a clue to the difference. I think there are many, many differences.

I believe there is a big difference. There are blue pilled narcissists who try to act alpha, but then you see them crash and burn after something like a divorce or being unemployed.

An alpha is aware of his narcissism and is able to control it. A true narcissist (NPD) is unaware and allows it to control him.

Real grandiosity will help you get laid in the short term. Not much question about that imo. These people aren't "faking" anything, they are deeply deluded into actually believing they are more valuable than they are.

So of course this works out in the short term, because no one yet knows that you are actually hiding a loser child deep down whose never grown up, but in the long term this eventually comes out. If the Narcissism which compensates for it persists, then the narcisissm remains an impediment for future growth.

Narcissism is a trait one is born with.

Alpha is simply a broad term. To many definitions for this word.

To me: Alpha is a RP term. It's a lifestyle I strive for. To be in the top 1% of mankind.

"alpha" generally describes a dominant male who signals "good genes" to women and inspires genuine desire in them

"narcissism" is when a person becomes obsessed with themselves

Men who are high-value tend to be more narcissistic, because they have more reason to think highly of themselves.

Also women abhor being worshiped. Beta men love to put women on a pedestal and worship at their feet, and this is the most unattractive thing to women. Chicks are drawn towards narcissistic men because they do not pedestalize them or worship them. They see themselves as the prize, and this is a very attractive quality to women.

Two people, equal everything, except that one is alpha and one is a narcissist. (The two traits can overlap.)

Not much to choose between them when the going is good but when it hits the fan, the narcissist blames others and the alpha takes full responsibility for the fuck up.

Narcissists are terribly selfish people who think they're alpha while in reality they're even lower on the pecking order than betas.
