Was studying at my local cafe. Walked up to a cute blonde sitting with her computer: "That scarf makes you look like a French teacher." She regretted that she does not speak the language. Told her she looks French, and she smiled and said, "I'll take that." At that point, I could've kept going with the convo but had already psyched myself out, turning and walking away awkwardly.

Knew that I shouldn't have chickened out. Thing is that before I talked to her, I explicitly told myself that every bit of practice counts.

Even if I approach hundreds more of girls, do even the experienced guys chicken out? I'd imagine that it continues to happen, but more infrequently.
