I do find IRL-interactions to be working in my favor, but sometimes you can’t always catch them irl.

The last time I tried sliding into the DMs was last week. I ran into this girl from a grade below mine from back in high school. Apparently she also decided to stay in our city after her graduation. Slided in. Asked her out after a week or so of talking to her. She agreed but also suggested that we invite a friend of mine from my grade, as he also stayed in town and she hadn’t seen him in a while. The mistake I made here was responding way too slowly to her messages (I don’t use instagram that much and have dm notifications off) and talking to her for too short period of a time (I was told a week is too short). I did get her number tho, since I told her I was deleting insta, maybe I can try talking to her again with WhatsApp or some shit.

(TL;DR) Anyhow what is your experience with sliding into the DMs?
