Look up the concept of the alpha widow. It's a woman that slept with a 10/10 Chad alpha in a fling that went on for a while. At some point she'd try locking him down, but he had plenty of options so he'd just leave her behind. Forever after, this girl will refuse to sleep with anyone with a SMV lower than this one alpha.

Men have preferences, but we will fuck a girl that doesn't meet our preferences. When a man sleeps with a 10/10 bimbo, he doesn't automatically get disgusted by any woman with a lower SMV for the rest of his life.

Also: men want variety in multitude of women/sex. Women want emotional variety. Women want to feel engaged constantly by one man. Woman gets bored = he stopped being alpha, she no longer has to wonder about him, constantly texts, etc. Men get bored by monogamy regardless. Adding women makes things more interesting. This in turn makes the man less available to each woman and hence more interesting in her eyes.

Notice how if a hot girl texts you a lot, you don’t mind because she is showing interest. But if you text a hot girl a lot showing too much interest, she gets turned off. That is because we are already ready for sex and we don’t need that much emotional engagement, whereas for women it’s the other way around. They are the ones who initiate the sex mainly because they know we are already ready.

Hypergamy relates to status. I see it sort of a status hierarchy.

A woman's status isn't important to a man. Her beauty is. Her sex appeal. Her virtue is.

In the same way a woman may monkey branch if her hypergamy is stimulated, a man may "pussy branch" to a younger, hotter chick, yes. But in the same way, if a enough of a woman's hypergamy is satisfied, she won't. If enough of a man's desire is satisfied, he won't. Or at least both are less likely.

Hypergamy is just part of a woman's reproductive strategy, and reproductive instinct, so yeah... men are potentially as bad. The issue is, we're living in society with zero checks and balances on female hypergamy, so there is more opportunity for it to be manifested in harmful ways. Whereas, we have almost total restriction of men's reproductive strategy - everything from social shaming, to laws, to propaganda.

So yeah, we are as bad, but our badness is kept in check. Women's isn't.

The damage that hypergamy does has way less to do with the men involved and much more to do with children. It's having a baby with Chad and then luring Franklin to pay the bill for the rest of his life. Men can't really do that because the law is never on our side and there's no social pressure whatsoever for women to date, and subsequently care for the children of, single dads.

The reason why it is seen as horrible if it is by women is due to the perception that being a man requires sacrifices of one kind so obviously being a woman means sacrificing her hypergamy while the man gets to keep his.

Hypergamy does not mean a person wants the best possible partner that exists on this planet. It means a person wants the best possible partner that they can actually have.

A 7/10 chick does not expect to get a 10/10. But she were given the choice between marrying a 7/10 and an 9/10 she would choose the 9/10.

You could argue that many modern women these days have unrealistic standards but you shouldn't want anything to do with an entitled brat anyway especially if you are way better than her.

The difference is men still have integrity. We keep our promises, for the most part, because of this integrity.

Women, on the other hand, have no integrity. Generations ago, women were forced to stay in marriages, and not be total sluts due to social shame, but those times are long gone.

Without the shame, and the current state of our marriage laws, women are free to be hypergamous sluts with no ill consequences, but men still hold on to integrity because it's the cornerstone of society.
