Okay, so I'm a long time lurker and have been reading and internalizing concepts for the past year, applying them in my day-to-day life, and a few days ago I decided to just try being a Chad Thundercock and see the results.

My target, a girl I'd rank as a 9-9.5 looks, keep in mind we're young adults. She has had a boyfriend for the past two years but we have a mutual friend and I was told she displayed interest.

Not having ever talked to her before, I engaged on facebook, got her phone number in less than 5 minutes where I would write 1-2 messages for every 3-4 of hers and match her answer time. After half an hour of talking via texts where I acted as the smart alpha, letting her talk about passions/dreams/etc while I just kept the conversation going, at this point sending about 1-2 messages for every 5 she sent. Things looked good, so when she asked me about my dreams/passions/etc, I said these are matters that I would only share over coffee and got an instant "I usually don't do this, but what the hell." .

I did not write anything to her for the next three days, we were supposed to meet Monday morning. So Sunday night, she engages in conversation and tells me she has had a boyfriend for two years, that she does not want to give up on their relationship despite it going badly and that she could not meet me for coffee. I replied with "If you were happy, you would have not agreed to meet me. Time does not come back, tough luck." . That got an instant "yeah, you are interesting and nice but I want to see how things play out in this relationship". This is where I think I could have handled it better, but I'm proud I managed to hold frame by saying that I am not a toy that she can just play with when she desires and dump it when she's bored. No reply after that.

I don't care what she does at this point and have moved on to other girls but I am just interested to see where I messed up. Things looked great in the beginning and I thought I had this in the bag. Opinions?
