I want to just call her out on not giving me any notice whatsoever and I'm wondering if that's the best course of action or if it will go nowhere. I could also just not respond, I've set the text to read.

Don't respond. Calling her out will do NO GOOD. Text her back with "thanks for letting me know" and leave it at that. She doesn't care / won't help / won't change her mind. You might as well just let the fucking thing go, because calling her out on it won't make any fucking difference and will only harm you.

So act indifferent. She might change her mind, probably won't.

The issue now is what to do about prom night.... fuck knows, not had to deal with that situation.

Dude I canceled on my HB5 prom date for a HB9 chick, 2 weeks prior to prom. The whole school hated me for doing so but I was like oh man haha.

Treat it like a comfort test. She’s just freaking out. If you remain steady and ensure that you’ll keep her company and give her a good time she’ll go. Maybe mention one of your favorite parts of the night. “We’re getting dinner at this really great place”

Preferably don’t do this via text. But in person. Hold frame either way that there’s nothing to worry about and you’ll take care of her.

Just don’t let her drag you into her frame and a lengthy convo about it. Short, polite, assured. Anything beyond 3-5 messages will get her going crazy again and she’ll def not go.

At the prom, you can decide if you want to walk away a bit and hang with friends or other girls if she gets needy or clingy. Not too much. But just enough to keep her guessing. It’ll turn her on a bit seeing you not let her drag you down. Keep inviting her into your social circles. No pressure to engage. Just to stand there and watch you.

If she doesn’t go for the comfort, def ghost.
