Hello everyone. This is my first post here, and it has been some months since I stumbled into theredpill sub. I learned a lot about women there, but my real self improvement journey began much earlier than that when I was still in high school (I'm 28 now). I somehow decided to become the best version of myself day after day. I read a lot of books, started going to the gym, and overall focused my time and energy on learning new things and to improve my career. I was always the shy person up until recently, the nice guy that alway agrees with everyone, and I started to try and change that, I'm becoming more confident and starting to become more charismatic overall and it's starting to feel more confertable making new friends. I even starting to learn game and how to approach women.

My main drag down at this moment is never knowing how to keep a conversation going. Whether it be with girls or with guys, the conversation ends up stalling pretty quickly and it turns into this awkward silence. Sometimes this happens even with people I share interests with, or people that usually don't have a problem talking on hours without end when they are with someone else. I was always the extroverted kid who didn't talk much, I really took to heart the saying "silence is golden".

Usually when I'm talking with someone I start getting stressed up and start thinking in my head about what I should say next. Most of the time my memory fails me and I end up saying nothing. And I don't what to come across as an arrogant intellectual (I'm not irl) but I thing most conversation topics to be stupid and beneath me.

It just feels like I'm missing something, I see guys talking for hours when they have no interests in commun. Like HOW DO THEY DO THAT. Is there anything I can do to make conversation flow more naturally? Is there a book I can read, a training I can watch, an exercice I can do? I know alot of you guys might know these things naturally, but I'd there someone who had to learn this stuff on his own, I would love it if they could share their experience.

Thank you guys.
