So I've been lurking around the asktrp, TheRedPill, and mgtow sub-reddits for just over a year now. I've constantly made a lot of really good improvements in my life because of all three. Any ways, one of the hardest things I have tried to giving up is the ability to stop checking my phone all the damn time. My problem comes from the fact that i'm in a high level IT Job (Infosec) where I am constantly on it with my bosses and team members. Because of this I am always responding to text within seconds of them being sent.

I've been reading a lot about the 2/3rds rule and reading up on not being the top option post on theredpill when it comes to texting. I usually fail at this pretty hard core lol. And very quickly end up in the "lol" or "yeah" style text (which from what I understand is an IOD). I've had a girl even shit test me by saying "You're pretty boring to talk to over text". Trouble is the habit of responding when I get a text because of my conditioning from work. Any ideas on helping me curb my bad habit? Or techniques that you guys use to resist responding instantly?
