Shit tests are something she's more likely to do during her ovulation phase (she's trying to determine and prevent getting impregnated by your potentially inferior male genes) during her luteal phase (her period) she feels ugly and dirty and self-consious so her tests are typically for comfort.

A shit test (or fitness test) is something a girl does to essentially prove that you are "worthy" to sleep with her.

A comfort test is something that happens with LTRs/Plates that regulates the level of....wait for it...comfort she has or can share with you.

If you are in a LTR/Plate then by definition you have already slept with her and therefore are of "worth". Not saying shit tests don't happen with LTR's and plates, but anything seemingly confronting/self-aware (I'm using these terms very loosely) is a shit test.

Example: You walk up to a girl at the bar and say "Hello." She looks at you and responds "Do you always walk up to random girls and expect them to talk to you?" This is a shit test.

Example: You are on the couch watching the GoT when your LTR/Plate says you "Omg Danerys (however the fuck you spell it) is so pretty." and then looks at you expecting denial/confirmation. This is a comfort test.

On the second one I don't tell her she's pretty, that to me seems like succumbing to her frame/fishing for attention unless she's on her period. I tell her when I'm honestly impressed by her outfit or when she's naked, especially when she's naked. Not often though.

You obviously don't understand what the words "difference" and "definition" mean.

You gave a definition. The sidebar gives a... wait for it... definition. I don't need a definition, I understand what they mean.

I want to know a real life difference between the two. Something that is applicable to a real life situation. You're answering this like it's a sixth grade English question. I'm not asking what the words mean, I'm asking how one would know if it's a comfort test or a shit test, since the two are pretty similar and I'm not a mind reader. Do you understand?

There's no real clear cut way to always tell the difference, which is why all the definitions in the comments kinda suck. HOWEVER, if you understand why each one is administered then it'll help you understand when you'll get each and what to do better when you get it.

Shit tests are related to attraction. She's basically checking to see if you are qualified to be her partner. Examples may be "that's so gay" "what car do you drive" etc. she's subconsciously sizing you up. You want to appear like you are above her, so you don't want to be phased by them. Hence why agree and amplify works so well.

Comfort tests are after she's already sized you up, and now wants to make sure she isn't making a mistake by sleeping with you. Examples may be "I bet you say that to all the girls" "you must be a player" etc. she's sold on you, now is just making sure she feels comfortable giving herself to you.

No one line is guaranteed to be either or, so take the examples with a grain of salt. "You must be a player" can be either depending on context.

Generally shit tests come first and comfort tests come later. Usually before she's sold on you they will be shit tests, and after they will be comfort tests. However this is not set in stone and many factors can bring either one. For example even after you've fucked several times she might shit test you once in a while to make sure you've still got it. Once you have more experience you'll start seeing the difference better.

How do you generally handle comfort tests? I'm thinking agree and amplify wouldn't really be the correct way, since that would come off a little too mocking. I may be wrong though.

Nah you are correct, agree and amplify won't work, or at least not used in the same way as for shit tests.

Generally comfort tests are her bringing her concerns about being with you to you, so you want to make her feel like her concerns are insignificant/don't matter, but in a reassuring way.

One of the best examples I've heard is if a girl comfort tests you with:

"you must be a player"

Your response would be something like:

"I'm just looking for someone I click with. I don't think we're so different in that regard"

With this response, you alleviate her concerns about you being a player and just looking to toot and boot it, as well as draw a connection between you and her. If you were the girl and he said this to you, it would probably take all your worries away.

Just make sure you don't come off as clingy or too devoted. That's probably the easiest mistake to make with comfort tests.

Depends on the circumstances. Say for example you've just cold approached a girl then certainly.

However if you have been speaking to a girl for any length of time then no.
