It sounds like you’re asking how to be more emotionally intelligent and more socially adept and aware.

As with many things in life, the best teacher is going to be experience. There probably isn’t a book, an article or even piece of advice that’ll help you as much as experience will.

Though I’m sure there are books that can teach you about human nature (Laws of human nature, how to win friends and influence people, 48 laws of power, etc). At the end of the day these books must be a supplement to your experiences, not the source of your social intelligence.

Watch actions and expressions (tone,faced,body posture) along with words. Actions and gestures speak louder though.

It’s about their “vibe”.

Also in complex situations always consider who benefits and who “pays”.
