As the title says, I'm finding it hard to create a real connection with girls on the first date. Without even trying i always seem to talk about the Same boring things girls have heard millions of times like family, school etc.

Keep in mind that this are mostly on campus; I go to a commuter school so there isnt much to do apart from going to the art building to check out the works. I'm working on building a larger friend circle but right now going to big parties with them is not possible.

I try inviting them to things I like to do but I find it's easier to meet with them on campus at first to create some comfort and this is where my problem begins. I want to make the dates more lighthearted and fun and spontaneous so that I have a better chance of meeting up with them again. I appreciate any advice.
