LTR 6 years, mother of my child. Both mid twenties.
I'm quitting a pretty bad valium addiction. Paranoid thoughts are all over the place. A few days ago I was convinced an undercover cop was following me for like 20 minutes while walking home, I hadn't even done anything illegal. It's bad.
Alright 2-3 weeks ago my gf got a colleague at her new workplace which she worked with at the last one. He's a very funny/goofy kind of guy and has a good tone with everyone. He's also good looking and works out. He's been working extra close with my gf because she's in charge of the department he will be working.
Immediately after he started she's been in a better mood, talking a lot of all the funny shit he says yadayada he's so amazing. In the start I actually engaged a bit because she was very stressed out at work and she genuinly seemed happy again. After a little while it for boring and I started ignoring it. She continued and one evening after we'd drunk a bit I confronted her and said valium withdrawals made me paranoid and asked her to stop(bad move)
She stopped but I had lost frame. Today, a little over a week later, while talking on the bed in the morning she started talking about work and said that to learn better before he has to take a shift for himself he will come 3 hours earlier to workplace, without pay just to see her in action again to learn it better so he doesn't fuck up when doing it solo. We all know what that means. He will be there from 7-10am without pay to "learn it better" lmao.
I got angry and ignored her, she responded with an attitude and I snapped at her, saying shit like my earlier girlfriends would never allow that and would actively avoid guys they knew I had a problem with as much as possible. That she didn't respect me etc. She got angry back and said shit like yeah but he's my colleague wtf do you expect blah blah.
Ok so now she's in the bedroom crying and I'm writing this.
Before you say so, yeah they've probably already fucked, I'm aware of this.
Secondly if she actually hasn't, have I lost frame to the point it's best to just jump ship and move out? On one side I feel really stupid for losing frame that hard, on the other I feel really disrespected and she even started talking about him again after the fight we had a week ago and I told her that the new colleague bugged me. She also know how much the withdrawals fuck with me and it seems she don't give a shit.
Edit: Mother of my child, not children. We have a 2year old together.
