When motivation fails, discipline has to take over.

The only way you will cure instant gratification is by abstaining from sources that bring IG. It is one of the biggest enemies to self-improvement and discipline and you need to cut it out of your life. It will help with your gym problem too.

Chase a goal instead of mindlessly going in there and doing whatever. Aim to increase your squat bench and deadlift by 20lbs before next month, aim to increase your arms by an inch within 2 months etc. If you're pursuing a goal, you'll be looking so far ahead that you won't notice that the road is full of garbage. Get on a good lifting routine that will help you achieve your goals too. A good program will take u far.

I never found lifting to be fun. Moreover, I HATED it. My justification was that this is just so stupid! why would i spend time putting iron blocks from one place to another?! i could do more productive things to educate myself or having another sort of fun.

Still i have to put a big effort to take my ass out of my apps to go to gym. But it feels SO GOOD after it. Some good lifting, sauna and a cold shower. That feeling is so fucking good trust me.

The only thing i still dont like about lifting is diet. I'm skinny and have to eat a lot. And i just either don't have time to cook, or too lazy, or too tired. So my weight gain is not significant. But i already see the cut lines on my shoulders and arms and even my gf noticed it and is always touching it now when we cuddling in bed lol.

Men you're so deep in the dopamine adiction that will never find lifting fun, it will be a pain to you, always. I feel sad because most people around me got so much confort doing stuff who gives you instant satisfaction (dopamine) that they don't even move their asses for nothing but easy stuffs.

Lifting will change the paradigm: in order to get results and satisfaction you need discipline, constancy and determination. Those competencens are chore in life and TRP in general.

Keep lifting, quit the easy satisfactions in your life and, lift even harder if its not working for you

How do you make lifting fun? The fact that when you take off your shirt and you see cut lines and abs should be good enough. It's more motivating then it is fun. When I miss a day of lifting, I see it as a waste of a day. I'm not bettering myself and getting bigger it's a throwaway day. I don't lift on weekends because rest days and I work 10 hour shifts at work so I physically can't be there.

Lifting should be motivating which in turn should be fun. Idk where you live but I have access to the beach in the summer time and when I go there and take off my shirt I receive some IOI's...and i'm 5'4. It's nice to have that feeling that people are addressing your physique and loving it.

You meet people at the gym and develop a social circle. Then from there you find gym friends. It's all fun. It's something productive to put into your routine in your day. Also something to talk about. Just do it dude. We all have days where we don't wanna go but we do it anyway just because we feel like shit if we dont.

You wanna make it fun? Put on your favorite music on your headphones, grab a friend, and go. If you're overweight, lose it. You'll see a transformation. When you're skinny and have low body fat as myself, you'll see the cut lines in your arms and your veins start popping out. It attracts women and I just feel better and bigger. Seriously just do it. You'll feel better doing that then just sitting home watching tv.

honestly don't burn yourself out. I've been lifting for about 1.5 years now some weeks i will go 5-6 times others 3-4. Make sure that if you dont feel like going you don't but promise yourself you'll go tomorrow and then mentally prepare yourself all day.
