I am seeking advice relating to having an LTR while in college; how to get the most from the relationship, and the types of mindsets and actions necessary for success. Below, I will list out several aspects of my relationship and her specifically:

  1. I'm in a now three month LTR as a sophomore at a big state university.

  2. I'm going out with a freshman and we were both virgins before we met each other.

  3. Overall, I would say the relationship is pretty good, though we do have issues that arise mainly, both of us agree, from her own insecurities about herself.

  4. She has self-harmed (cut) in the past and has done so at least twice since we've been together.

  5. I would say we are able to work through just about everything with communication; though in the beginning, she found it hard to open up and express herself.

  6. She is constantly telling me how attractive she finds me, and that I am too good for her; both in terms of physical attractiveness, as well as personality. She also tells me how happy I make her etc. In the beginning however, she showed much less affection, causing me to question whether she truly liked me or not.

  7. I know her home life is pretty strict
