After doing a quick google search, I learned that, statistically, men are more likely to admit to cheating than women are. The first result I found was that 13% of women admit that they have cheated on their spouses while 20% of men admit to cheating on their spouses. I can't help but think this is bullshit. I think of the evolutionary hypergamy women are ingrained to have and how that would play a major role in cheating. Additionally, I see men as more of the romantics while women seek objective security in their relationships. I want to think this is a lie perpetuated by our society to make us believe that women are prestigious queens. I'm interested if anyone has done research into this topic for a more conclusive answer.
