Name

I live in a western country and ive got a foreign name (maybe because im foreign, huh go figure). I'm ok with my name and im not ashamed of it but bitches find it hard to hear/remember in a loud nightclub especially since its unique. I want to start introducing my self with a shortened form of my name for the sake of simplicity. I was going to use Ed since my name ends in these letters, should i say my name is X but u can call me Ed or just simply, call me Ed. I know it aint all that big but the help would be appreciated.
