Some male friends of mine have this "rule" of not starting to set up another date with a girl until 48 hours after the first date. I did also see in some askTRP guidelines that one should never mention a new date or even just contact a girl immediately after a date (although it does not necessarily mean 48 hours).

I do find that in some circumstances (travelling, other commitments after 48h, and so on), it is best to text earlier, say in the morning or afternoon of the next day.

Any thoughts on this?
