Sigma's are confident introverts. No problems going out and getting what they want and are confident/charismatic but chose not to be leaders in social situations unless it serves their needs/desires/purpose.

I'm a Sigma. By others definition. I'm often mistaken for alpha. Though I'm not certain they're mutually exclusive, nor that the labels are worth knowing, just have a different perspective with overlapping skills.

In my day to day life, I own a business, am a serial entrepreneur, and am rather isolated, "mentally ". What I mean by that is even though I go out for many of my hobbies, I'm not interested in socializing with anyone beyond keeping up appearances, or getting something. Alpha individuals (three very alpha friends, long term) seem to actually enjoy the game of interaction. I find it annoying, but easy.

Two of my alpha friends work for me. I own companies and chase investors. The difference in our social group can be described in how people react when we arrive individually.

The alphas are expected and there, both friends are invited to everything, and generally relied on to bring people and women, maybe supplies.

I'm called to help find a location, contact interesting spotlights, the connection guy, always invited vip, but I'm actually treated as a nice surprise if I step in the door. The most common greeting is akin to "wow I thought you'd be too busy".

The alpha stays and enjoys, I get in and get out. Thursday night there's a banging cocktail planned partially, well, mostly by me, for an advisors birthday, I probably won't go. I have shit to do. If I do go it'll be for exactly one hour. I'll grab a beer, dance with 3-5 women, say happy birthday, maybe talk to a perspective investor, and leave. My two Bros will be life of the party before and after I'm there. I rarely stay more than a 90 minutes. I could be making money instead, or reading, or fucking my girl, or lifting, or using the rock wall while it's mostly empty. Anything. 90% of the people there do not have anything at all to offer me.

I've been told by many of my plates that I'm a hat trick. I get offers daily, but never respond. I usually only fuck a girl if she's quite precisely my style, and there are multiple plates in my past, current gf included, that I've chased off public transport because "I just wanted them".

I do non alpha things sometimes, usually others don't understand why, mostly for amusement, sometimes for gain. This could include hosting a lan party, or covering the tab at a meeting, which I leave from early. It's rather spur of the moment though never is it not thought out. It's always directly based on the one or two people in the crowd that I need at the time to like me.

I'm happy to break or ignore rules when I think they're stupid, this has gotten me in potential legal trouble once or twice, but never anything that progressed to court. Usually I'm correct, almost always I get a pass and a Stern warning, on occasion the policy is outright changed. I suppose my sense of self preservation is slightly different than most alphas.

To be fair, rich family, rich heritage, heavily dissociative "I quit going when the term sociopath was starting to be thrown around". Though I don't think I am because I do hold a few very high emotional attachments.

This sounds very keeping up appearances, Machiavellian, manipulative, but it works well for me. If i take notice in someone, they notice, and they work hard. If I'm not paying attention, that's the norm, you probably can't offer me anything, even good entertainment. I entertain myself.

My mom said it best, she still jokes about it. "you act like you own the world, but don't particularly want it."

Anyways, maybe that helps. Probably not. Just been called Sigma a long time now, several years, some say alpha, most say alpha but someone of the RP friends I have definitely say Sigma, the non RP alphas say hat trick, figured some description may help.

The sigma is NOT an alpha male. It's a different behavior type.

Alphas: Football player
Betas: Football fan
Sigmas: Football team owner

Sigmas are not more alpha or less alpha than an alpha. They're lone wolves and risk takers. Sigmas tend to attract the alpha female whereas alphas tend to attract the beta female, and betas attract no female.

It's just a way to make loners that are angry at the world feel better about themselves. The funny thing with this is that it's an "authority" telling guys they're special because they don't conform to authority or care about meaningless social games.

If sigma is a thing, I think I'm more of a sigma. I'm not big on social things, I don't draw strength from those situations. I'm more introverted.

They are socially awkward MGTOW omegas who are trying to justify the fact that they are outsiders and who "don't care about pussy" but are just too shit at approaching and know they will get rejected because tbh, they're ugly. REAL sigmas are actually just introverted alphas.

"Sigma male" is a term beta guys use to justify their lack of friends. It's supposed to be edgy and badass, but it's really just an arbitrary title that helps no one and serves no purpose.

"Sigmas" like to say things like "alphas try to win the game, but sigmas don't even play" and other completely asinine postulations.

It's generally good to avoid using this term because it's really only for people who need a justification for why they aren't popular.
