Been in a LTR for 2+ years. Good girl, never any issues or the slightest doubt that she was unfaithful. Anyways today at dinner I grabbed her phone to check the time and she got a bit nervous. We were having dinner with her parents. Brushed it off as nothing and then in the car ride home she became SUPER affectionate. All over me.... more so than normal. Drop her off home and she calls me 30 mins later to tell me about an old ex of hers that messaged her tonight and she thought I saw the text and was mad hence her being overly affectionate.

I’m glad she told me and sent me a screenshot of the convo but am a bit turned off by her initial response of over affection. Came off as very manipulative to me. What is the appropriate response?
