I've always wanted to take creatine but they myths I would hear about it turned me away. However, after some research I realized I want to try it out, especially after dislocating my shoulder 3 months ago, I have lost some of my strength and prior to that my strength was stagnating. I just read this article https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/creatine-loading-phase#bottom-line and it takes about doing loading phases. So is creatine something you cant take all the time like protein supplements? What I am getting from this article is that I need to take 20g's a day for 7 days followed by 2-10 g's a day for maintenace?

How do I go about doing creatine? And as someone who tends to pack on extra fat easier than most people (I am a stockier/thicker build, used to be overweight as a teen, lost a lot of weight but still pack on a little fat) is creatine advisable?
