They mistakenly thought that fucking Chad was the same as Chad validating them in their entirety. After years of pump and dumps, they realize they were played like a fiddle and that the only chance they'll have at fulfilling their life's purpose (reproduction) is to settle for a beta schlub.

And then one day you notice that less people seem to care about you...

And it's getting worse with every passing month...

And pretty soon, within only a handful of years (short enough to still have clear memories and habits from your prime time), you are now an invisible incel.

And you too would be rationalizing hard in order to save yourself from the mental breakdown of seeing your social worth (that you thought so stellar and enduring) falling off a precipice: "I prefer that life... I'm more mature... I think it's time I settle for a quiet life... the high-flying life is so cliche and fake anyway... You know when I think back on it, I'm pretty sure I never really enjoyed all those drugs and wild sex... hey I've always dreamed of being a family man and I think I'm ready for it now... etc.".

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. In my experience, those who "hit the wall" while being single so to speak were hitting it because they set themselves up for that. I've seen many attractive (or not), good, matured women my age (late 20s) getting snatched for marriage here and there. One thing they have in common is that they respect their men. They are not demanding. They know their place as a woman. That usually has a lot to do with upbringing and people they hang out with. Of course, given the opportunity to go LTR with this kind of woman, what kind of guy would turn it down?

Fact is, all the women I've dated in late 20s (which means they're *still* single) all have very bad personalities to begin with. Stubborn, entitled, too feminized, pretentious (will try to argue with you without ever succeeding, then got angry for that) and they wonder why no guys want to ever be with them long term? Doesn't matter whether she's a 8 or 9 if she can't even hold a conversation without me feeling agitated then why bother?

In fact, here's a tip somebody told me sometime ago: single women in their 30s are single for a good reason, and you don't want to be the guy who finds out about why that is. Chances are, I believe these women are single because they are who they are, not necessarily because they hit the wall. True, being over 30 is definitely big disadvantage as their SMV have plummeted but if they take care of themselves well, fun and respectful, having a date shouldn't be a problem.

I dated one woman back then, solid 8, very independent, went to pageant as a finalist and all, around my age too. She's definitely a catch but she has been single for quite sometime now and I eventually figure out why. She's not a bad person but she's too argumentative for her own good and can't take criticism well.
