So I got matched with this girl on Tinder. Got her number the same conversation. She said she normally never gives out her number that quickly and I'm inclined to believe her because her standards were way the fuck up there (I could barely meet them myself).

After a brief exchange of text messages I go for the prize and attempt to set up a coffee date. She declines but immediately apologizes and asks me not to take it personal. She says she would like to talk more first and get to know me and that she'd be in a lot more trouble than I would be if one side turns out to be crazy. Fair enough I thought. She actually seemed like a quite interesting person and we had some common interests as well so that helped.

The same week I go out in the weekend with some friends and invite her to join us. She doesn't explicitly say no at first but I suspect that she's either still afraid of me (psychotic killer fear maybe?) but then she says "maybe I'll let you buy me Starbucks soon but go have fun with your friends for now". I ask her what's keeping her so busy? She said her night's not that exciting and she is watching TV... So I think whatever and ignore her and play a bit of dread game the next day (I had met some girls in the club).

Then today (yes, I know this is too long since the start but I was genuinely interested in getting to know her better and she expressed the same interest and responded promptly to my messages, besides I had made two attempts now) I decide I'm done exchanges messages and want to meet her. Either she takes me up on this one or I'm done wasting my time.

So then the conversation goes like this:

Me: Hey you. I have a craving for steak since this weekend. So I'm going to an Argentinean restaurant in the city centre tomorrow. You can join me if you like. Either way I'm getting my steak. Let me know if you'll be busy watching TV instead.

(The reference to the TV was a jab at her boring weekend earlier, I'm offering her to have a good time and get out of her fucking house)

Her: Are you really going out to dinner on your own?

Me: Or someone else if it's a no from you. Either way I'm getting my steak. Let me know before 3 tomorrow.

Her: I'm not coming haha.

Me: Cool.

At this point I'm done. I'm not going to bother with someone that doesn't value my time and doesn't appreciate the time I've invested into her little "get to know me better" bullshit when the best way to get to know each other would be to meetup. What's more important now is: Where did I play it wrong? Where could I have done better?
