Looking for advice on learning to relax and improving my body language. Also ways to practice reading women better.

A bit about me:

6 foot 5, 272 lbs, good features, and I come from a well off family. I have been on a diet for the last 5 months, and dropped 84 lbs so far. The diet means I cannot lift heavy weights yet, and I have 40 to 50 more lbs to go for ideal BMI.

The example:

So I was walking with a new friend today. Former athlete, over six foot, chiseled features, graceful Latino guy. You get the picture.

We go to buy lunch and he immediately approaches a woman (HB8), has her number in two minutes flat. Guy clearly had great game.

We continue walking and he points at two girls (HB7s), and says they were checking me out. Then he laughs and asks me why the hell I just hunched my shoulders when he pointed that out. That I have zero reason to be nervous. I banter back and forth with him, and he says to just be confident and not give a shit.

Thing is. I have no idea why I did that with my shoulders. I did not notice that I even did it until he said something.

Later another woman was flirting with me at the back of the line, which he pointed out. I did not even notice that until he said something. I had a conversation with her, and got her number.

I think I will be hanging out with my new buddy more often.

TRP, how can I work to consciously improve my body language, and to better read others? Techniques to relax in social situations?

Edit: Ok, I slew the hamster. Started lifting again today.
