When to delete numbers?

Typically unless I fuck a girl, or there is some legitimate reason to save the number (potential contact or hook up for something) - I dont even save it to begin with.

In fact on the girls who I feel are showing low interest, I respond to their text and then delete the conversation.

For me this help eliminate any risk of attachment or putting them on a pedestal. It also keeps me from second guessing what i sent to them.

If a chick flakes on me once in a dismissive way or takes more than a day to answer a text, I delete the #. That might sound harsh but I've racked up enough personal experience to know straight away when a chick's wasting my time. Women who DO want to meet actually come off a bit desperate, the disparity in behavior between an interested and uninterested woman is just mind boggling.

I pretty much never delete them. I'd imagine my phone will store 100,000 numbers. Whether I let on or not, I'd always rather know who is calling. Why have less information?

I do see people giving advice to delete numbers as a way of saying "move on." But really, that can be done just fine without deleting a number.

I usually don't delete numbers.

I was talking to this one girl: decently attractive, good rapport. Had tried to set up a date for a few weeks, but our schedules never lined up. I cut all contact with her, but kept her number.

A month and a half goes by, and she re-initiates contact with me. We meet up for drinks, make out on the dance floor, then I slammed her in my back seat.

Early and often. Why? Prevents the possibility of you drunk texting or other lame excuses for attention. If they're interested...they'll contact you.

Severe oneitis cases, delete delete delete. Easy cases, keep. Borderline cases, lean towards keep as practice for restraint (you could call her but you choose not to)

Had my worst pre-RP situation last year, deleted number and then bumped into her months later. She messaged me after to give me her new number (phone stolen). Funny. Had no intention of contacting her, but handy to have the number back after the dust settles...

I don't bother deleting anything. Old stuff doesn't get in the way.

I once handed my phone to a girl with the new contact screen up. She entered her first and last name. I thought that was weird, then noticed that the reason she'd done it is that I already had another girl with that first name.

But then I looked at the numbers and they were the same. So, I'd already gotten her number but forgotten all about it.

If you have an Android phone, it should keep the number in your Google contacts even after you delete the number from your phone and show the name when it rings. That gives you the ability to get rid of the number but retains the ability to retrieve it if you run into her again. Just be careful with voice dialing, for some reason my phone decided that it wanted to dial my exes cousin instead of my girlfriend.

I keep all numbers. But I've never been one to desperately text them or obsess, and my phone doesn't have a limit (that I've reached) for storage.

If it's causing you to reminesce or you are tempted to text them after purposefully cutting contact, then you should delete them.
