They do work, 100%. I'd almost say PUA is more immediately useful for what most guys on the Manosphere actually wanna do (get laid ASAP).

TRP is above and beyond... it's for building a life where you don't even have to use PUA.

The heart of the issue is that men have had their cultural identity stolen from them by the cultural Marxist education system. They don't know who they are because they don't know who their ancestors are or what their traditions are. We didn't have this problem 100 years ago because 100 years ago courtship happened via traditional cultural rituals. The rule book has been thrown out and now everyone has to learn everything from zero.

This is a pretty bold claim but understand that Africans and Arabs have not had their culture stolen from them and thus do not suffer from the existential shit fuck felt by the Western man.

PUAs are 100 IQ Normtards who don't understand the larger issue, and instead come up with stupid scripts for boys to repeat. Difficult existential questions are far beyond their paygrade.

Anyone who understands that wisdom of his ancestors knows that putting a woman in her place is just that and is not being an asshole. He's being a man.

The only thing that "doesn't work anymore" is the canned material that has been used so much before that there are chances that the girl already heard it before. But even if the did and tell you so, just maintain your composure and bounce off it.

All the rest are field-tested principles that work just as well as they did back when they were written up.

A lot of TRP was birthed by PUA. People say that because PUA is so monetized now, that a lot of what the "gurus" say is bullshit just to sell their product, just like every other industry now. Probably 90% of PUAs you'll see on Youtube are total shit, and don't know what they're doing.

"Hi, I just thought you were absolutely adorable, and had to say hi." Is the pretty typical opener you'll hear these instructors use, even though it's one of the oldest and worst, and no actual PUA OGs use it. Like anything, just be mindful of where you're getting information from, anyone can claim to be anyone on the internet.

It's seen as fake.

But mostly it's community warfare. "TRP says get swole and girls will fall on your dick, PUA is fake and wrong".

The reality is they both have a lot to say. TRP is the underlying truth, PUA is how to actualise your sex life.

For most men following TRP ideals, they still need game. Everyone agrees you need game. But for some weird reason TRP is full of pickup deniers. It's fucking weird on a sexual-strategy sub.

Thoughts on what is more likely to work are also welcome.

Do both, obviously.

I chalk it up to society currently being in a transitional phase, with a new generation of women coming onto the sexual marketplace/dating world who are wired very differently. They are being shaped by rapid changes in society, social media platforms, accelerated gender equality, and more access to even better, faster and more readily available technology.

To put it plainly: younger women are a lot more clued up on PUA, thus act differently and communicate differently than the women who came before them (🙄). They were the guinea pigs for a whole generation of twentysomething men trying this shit on them from puberty onwards.

Society is changing at such a breakneck speed that the [aging] PUA gurus, their books and methods are having a hard time adjusting to keep pace. Some of these PUA techniques in books penned by gurus are overused and/or dated now. Neil Strauss' famous book - arguably the most well known and quoted PUA material - was written in the early-mid 2000s, already more than a decade ago.

It'd be like a guy trying to pick up women in the 80s, using the same shit he tried in the 70s: completely different era with a completely different generation and standard of operation.

Or I'm just talking out my ass. Who knows.

Pua has developed/evolved and "natural game" is the trendy shit atm. Unlike the mystery days of canned openers and other scripted approaching, natural game is pretty close to what the red pill gets at.

Trp shits on pua because it focus on the seduction, rather than becoming more desirable. Or it's an outside in rather than an inside out process.

They still work, but IMO PUA techniques are pure manipulation. It gives the chicks that warm in the belly due to its pseudo psychological aspect. It's effective in most cases, but you can't rely on that shit. Inner game > outer game. If your validation comes from the inside, you feel good about yourself and your body language express that, women will be attracted towards you.

What annoys me is that most PUAs are balding, beer belly nerds that do shit to improve their lives. To them, these techniques and routines are the easy way to get into women's pants.

Build an awesome life and physique and they will come. It's as simple as that.

they ALWAYS work. The only thing that doesn't work is if you have a shit personality or are too ugly to make it work, but even ugly comedians get laid sometimes. It can work but the strategy can't be blind to your level of real physical attractiveness to women. It can't be "don't know don't care"
