Hate to sound like an ass here but...

Working out makes you physically and mentally stronger, it can totally transform how you view yourself (I know it has for me). It makes people respect you more just by virtue of looking better and healthier. It makes you live longer, and more comfortably. It has made, me at least, care less about people's opinions of me.

Yet some people just don't do any exercise. Not even light cardio with a walk around the neighborhood every now and then. I don't see any excuse you can have for this. You don't need money to work out, though it helps of course. Many of the busiest CEOs in the world have committed workout plans, so you can't complain about time.

It's just like you get one body, and one chance to actually make something of yourself in this life. Why do so many people reject this chance, and just let themselves waste away. It actually disgusts me a little bit, how some people just throw their bodies away and don't give a shit if they look like twigs or fat slobs. You don't have to train or look like a UFC fighter, God knows I don't, you just need to put in a little bit of effort.

This is a genuine question, why doesn't everyone do it? More broadly, why doesn't everyone care about self-improvement? Why are so many people willing to just fuck off and eat ice-cream to Netflix all day everyday?
