No he's got a point. I stopped watching porn and masterbating. Went out on testosterone-filled auto pilot mode and got laid. But jerk off once a week, you don't wanna go ape-shit on a poor girl
Hahahahaha. Ngl being filled with a month's worth of pent-up sexual energy made me very dominating without trying. Literally made a guy stfu and back off as well as the girl really submissive. It was just once
It's not about watching porn it's about your mindset when watching it. If you're just doing it occasionally and know it's fake and just treat it as entertainment, it won't do much harm. But if you're addicted to it it's gonna fuck you up for sure. Plenty of people in healthy relationships with healthy lives watch porn
Coming from a strictly religious background and from a very conservative state where sex-ed is not taught (like- at all- I was a virgin when I first married. When I saw that thing (my husband’s extremely large and very hard penis coming at me, I was horrified). I had so many questions and many concerns (“why is it a different color”, are those veins”, “why does it resemble a soldier in WWII”, “why the heck are the balls BELOW the penis and not above like I always thought, “what am I supposed to do with it- I have only seconds to decide”, etc etc etc). I didn’t look at porn until I was in my 30s. I wanted to know what all the hype around sex was. I learned a TON! I not only learned about my husband’s body but also my own. I also learned how to touch myself and had my first orgasm ever.
Like anything, food, sleep, smoking, drinking, drugs- porn can me addicting. But it also can be extremely helpful .
Fake and entertainment? A blonde getting banged is a blonde isnt it? I mean i get the dramatic part of shouting and all that but at the base it's about our core fantasies- things we find hot
Totally agree. But if you watch it everyday then it can start to blur the lines. This was an issue with my ex. I had all these expectations in sex (making noice is a big one that stands out) and was confused when it wasn’t happening. One time I just said “make some noises” and her response was “why aren’t you making me”. It wasn’t until we broke up that I realized I had these expectations in sex that were unrealistic from porn
While I agree that porn can be consumed in moderation, it is different to an action movie due to the high level of dopamine that is released while watching it. This can lead to a decrease in receptors, and in the long term a decreased sensitivity to dopamine, which will result in further addiction as few other activities will be found to be as “fun” as porn.
Essentially, when you watch porn you are getting high, and while getting high has it’s place, we can’t go fooling ourselves that that isn’t what is happening.
And porn isn't just used for pleasure- it can be used, like other drugs, as a temporary fix for anxiety and depression. It gets our minds off of negative thoughts and enhances our mood.
The problem is that (medical causes aside) anxiety and depression is our brain telling us that something is wrong and needs changed- our environment, relationships, our way of thinking, etc. If drugs or porn is used to change our mood then we miss the cue and the impetus to change for the better.
Problem with porn is that it is extremely addictive. Much more so than a typical action movie.
And in the long term it can cause performance issues. At one point, I was struggling to even cum with a real girl. And that was just on porn twice per week.

Yeah, porn does nothing good for your brain. If you must masturbate, use your imagination. Not porn.
Not that that's easy. That shits addictive.

Imagination or thinking of past sexual experiences when fapping are good alternatives to porn
[–]CompletelyPresent 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
True, plus it encourages you to go out and be social with new girls.

Not even lesbian porn?
[–]Torwulfer 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, has the same hormone spiking effect of regular porn.

It rhymes so it must be true
[–]OrganicHearing 5 points6 points7 points (0 children) | Copy Link
For real. One could also say “You are born to watch porn” which also rhymes so clearly it’s true right????

I don’t have any issue with porn. To me it’s like alcohol. Use responsibility.

It fosters unhealthy expectations in real life when having sex.

I always find that confusing to hear that people really believe sex is similar to porn absolute madness

I just dont get it how watching porn for entertainment is any different to watching, say, an action movie for entertainment.
Of course you should never get addicted to it. But then again, you should not get addicted to anything.

Porn is not the problem, it's one of several symptoms of a larger societal issue.
Porn in and off itself is not a problem.

That women are massively more time/effort/money with very little gain in return. Porn is the one of the biggest reasons the feminists are losing.
