I thought I’d share a recent group approach I did, in the hopes that it might help some of you,

This was in line with my general style, which is honesty, brazen intimacy and cheerful. I stopped at a bar for a drink and I saw a mixed group of six. Three guys, three gals. I didn’t think of what I was going to say, I just said what I was thinking in a cheery tone. It went something like this:

“Hey guys!” I let them respond in kind. “I was just people watching and you guys look pretty fun. Mind if I join you?”

They perked up and said sure. I sat down.

“I’m Gabe, by the way. And yourselves?” I looked to the man sitting on my right. He said his name was Seth or something, I don’t remember. I asked him where he was from. I don’t remember that answer either.

I turned to the girl sitting next to him, who was insanely hot.

“And you?”

She smiled and said “I’m Melanie, I’m from here.”

“Hi Melanie, nice to meet you. Please tell me this gorgeous man here isn’t your boyfriend.״

They all burst out laughing.

“Actually he’s just a friend.”

“Oh, thank God. I could never compete with that, So I’m free to seduce you, then.”

More laughter, and I moved right on. I met the other four, threw in little compliments (“by the way, I’ve never seen a necklace quite like that. Is there a story behind that?”)

I moved back to Melanie.

“Ok Melanie, a promise is a promise. What do you do?”

She taught science in elementary school.

“Oops. I have no follow up questions. That stuff is wayyy over my head.” I made more small talk for a few more minutes, then I turned to the others.

“Guys, I’m a little obsessed with your friend here. Would you mind if I took a quick walk with her around the block? I promise to bring her back.”

Melanie exchanged a look with her friends but they were charmed and on my side. They told her to go.

I stood up and said “Come, Melanie. I want to know more about you.”

She stood up and asked her friends to watch her purse.

As we were walking away I turned back to the group. “By the way, guys, any tips on how to charm her?”

Her girlfriends were more than happy to start shouting out things (“she likes sweet talk!” “She likes when you hold her hand!” “Omg, shut up Rhonda!”)

I walked with her and we exchanged more small talk, I don’t even remember what we said. But I kept looking at her and smirking. Kept up the eye contact. At some point I gave her a really cheesy line.

“You’re part of my master plan, you know.”

“Oh yeah? What’s your plan?”

“Step one, kiss you. Step two, make you my girlfriend. Step three, take over the world.” She laughed and got a kick out of that.

“Excuse me, don’t laugh, it’s a real plan. But let’s start with you holding my hand.” And I offered it to her. She took it.

We talked a few more minutes. Then I said:

“Ok, I have to get you back to your friends before they call the cops. But first, come closer.” I took both her hands.

She knew what I meant. She looked around and said “here? Now?”

“Right here, right now.”

She came closer.

“Closer.”

She came closer. And I kissed her. We made out for a few minutes, I got her number and brought her back to her friends. I thanked them for letting me steal their insanely beautiful friend and said it was a pleasure meeting all of them.
