Yeah that’s tough. First thing: make sure you don’t text too often in general. I think this was my downfall many times. If you haven’t responded already, just be like “Yeah I was just thinking what I could say, the last time I talked to a random girl I got maced and my tires slashed, so I didn’t want to do that again, so we are already off on a better note than that.” Make sure you joke with her a lot so she knows to expect this kind of thing. Try to not alllllways ask a question to respond to every text. It’s ok to make random statements that she probably will respond to “man I hate when my boss makes us stay after at work” or “well, I still fit into my pants this morning after Thanksgiving so that’s a plus”. She will most likely respond with “Lol I ate way too much too” and you can ask what she logged out on, and you’re off.
