I met this girl couple of weeks ago through mutual friends at a party and at first we texted here and there up until recently the texting got more frequent and she started opening up about herself.

I asked her about her schedule this week to set up because I wanted to take her out, however, it’s funny because I called I friend I haven’t talked to for a while and out of no where he brings her up without me saying anything about her or me saying I’m planning on going out with her. He tells me she’s texting several of our friends, even a married friend which she’s just obviously playing with him and texting for endless validation. Every time someone new comes around, she tries getting his attention.

It’s funny because I had this gut feeling about her and now I confirmed it. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t ask her out sooner. I thought about just telling her “hey I just realized I’m super busy this week, but I’ll let you know”. I don’t want to say anything like “I know I asked you out but I’m just not ready for a relationship” since it’s just a first date. We also have plenty of mutual friends and I don’t want her going around talking about me ruining other potential relationships. Thanks
