I'm in double figures for same night lays so am not a complete newbie, but this is something that I just can't fix. I'm not sure if it's actually anything that I can change, though. I mean, maybe it's always 100% out of your control. You are either her type or you aren't. If you aren't, she won't talk back.

Opened 2 cute girls last night whilst I was waiting for a friend in a bar. I opened with a situational opener and commented something about I bet them they wouldn't be able to finish their drink before closing time (was some huge cocktail jug they were sharing) and they smiled. I asked what it was a one of them told me whilst the other one just looked away. I asked what they were up too and she kept her answer as short as possible and gave me like a split second signal with her eyes which I read as ''what the F do you want?'' lol. I told her that I was just waiting for a friend and then went into a cold read about her and what she might do for a job. The advice for ''after the open'' is always the same stuff (cold reads about her, assumptions, observations etc) but I find that it simply doesn't matter at all. The more approaches I make the less faith I have in 'game' tbh lol. She doesn't hook at all and already, just 40 seconds in or so, i'm struggling a bit for what to say! Trying too avoid interview mode too. I make an observation about something she is wearing. She still looks like she doesn't really want to talk, and her friend hasn't said a word but looks to be starring at her friend the whole time. Girl-coding about how to lose me I guess lol. I ask how they know each other. She gives a one word reply. I try to push the subject a little and do some kind of 'good girl, bad girl' thing but it doesn't land. I offer my name. At this point I really don't have anything. I've still not 'hooked' but then, I honestly feel like she was NEVER gonna hook no matter what I said. I simply wasn't their type. Didn't have time for any other approaches but found it a frustrating set. Feels like every set I know within 0.5 seconds whether I have a shot or not, and i'm never wrong lol

In case anyone picks on me for not going direct, I also get the same probems with going direct IF (and only if) she's not into me/i'm not her type

I'm certain there's nothing new under the sun and I've read everything there is about this subject so am not expecting much in the way of feeback, but just in case, can anyone offer any ideas?

I did a little search and I've seen others ask threads like this and the advice is like ''Ask more interesting questions like what she would do if she won the lottery'' but to me that sounds super autistic to ask that before she's even hooked at all!

Any other applicable tips?

Or is it the case that it really is just a numbers game. The ones that think you're hot will 'hook', and the ones that think you're ugly 'wont'?
