Long time lurker on this sub. Like many of you I struggle with approach anxiety. I’ve been on quite the dry spell - haven’t been laid in 3 months or so and before that was another 4-5 months, both one night stands.

Last night I got drunk with some friends and went out to the bars. I was standing on the outskirts of the dance floor minding my own business when a girl approached me out of nowhere and started grinding on me. I didn’t notice her or make eye contact before. We ended up grinding and making out for a while before she said she wanted to go back to my place. We walked back to my apartment and smoked a joint and ended up having sex. Not what I was expecting to happen at the start of the night. I realize I need to work on my approaching skills but it is refreshing when a girl makes the first move!
